The Story of Kind to Earth Soapery
Kind To Earth Soapery was born in 2024. First as Las Casillas Soaps, then early in 2025, the final name bacame Kind To Earth Soapery.
The company is owned by me, Mette, a mother of three fantastic and uniq children, a wife to a loving and supporting husband, and grandmother of four wonderfull grandchildren. We are from Norway, but have lived on Gran Canaria since 2006.
The spring 2024, my son Christoffer was deceased in a tragic accident in the mountains of Stryn when he was enjoying walks in this beautiful mountain landscape. Losing a child is one of the most traumatic experiences a mother can have. And out of the sorrow and sadness after the tragic accident, came a need to have something else to think about, something beautiful and something natural, when the sadness took over.
The idea of going into deep studies of how to make soap, the old, tratitional and handmade way, was born. Inspired by the lush landscapes of Gran Canaria, I set out to create soaps that are as kind to the earth as they are to the skin.
Family and friends has been involved to test out the soaps, and the news was put out at Facebook and Instagram and suddenly a lot of people wanted the buy the soaps made by natural ingredients. Friends have been invited to hour house to see and try the soaps, so they are very well tested on real humans, not on any animals.
Especially friends with problematic skin was something that has been studied and I´ve had a passion for to make soaps that could be tolerated of these friends too.
Early 2025 the process was started to have all recepies tested, safety reports has been made at a labaratory and approved due to EU standards, so they could be put out on a larger marked.
And even though the journey of Kind to Earth Soapery began with a tragic accident, something good has come out of this. A lot of people with skin problems, has found the soaps very gentle and kind to their skin. And some friends who tested the soaps, have had problems using “normal” soaps from the supermarked, but these soaps works very well, without harming the skin. And with this simple belief: that nature provides everything we need for health and beauty, the journey goes on. The mission is to harness the power of natural ingredients, supporting local farmers, and to deliver products that are natural, gentle to the earth and the human body, and feel luxurious and are eco-friendly.
